Karimunjava is known as the Karimun Java National Park, a marine tropical island with mangrove forests, beaches and coral reefs. Sea turtles and sharks inhabit the waters around the islands, while deer and pangolin can be seen on land. Dive sites include a wreck near Kemujan Island. The largest island, Karimunjava, has views of the archipelago from its highest point.
